This picture had been torn and scratched. After building up the missing left side of the picture the person partly visible behind the boy was removed.

This photo had become discoloured with age but the basic colour information was still intact and could be salvaged. Some detail in the bride's dress was also recovered.

My photo restoration and photo enhancement service is conducted via the web or by mail and is available to anyone in the United Kingdom. My portraiture, commercial and general photography service naturally involves travel and has to be restricted to within 24km (15 miles) of Tarporley, Cheshire. A small charge will be made for travel outwith the CW6 postcode area.

You can describe exactly how you want your photo restored or enhanced, provide a brief outline of your requirements or, in the case of a straightforward repair, simply leave it to me. You need not pay until you are happy with the result.

Media for image restoration or enhancement
Photos can be submitted for retouching as prints, negatives, 35mm slides or as digital files in any of the standard formats e.g. JPEG (.JPG), TIFF (.TIF), Bitmap (.BMP) Photo CD (.PCD), PDF (.PDF), Powerpoint (.PPT), etc.
I can return restored or retouched photographs as prints, on CD, as digital files by email or any combination of these. Naturally all original materials will be returned by post.
Approval of work
Before requesting payment for any work involving image manipulation I will place a digital proof of the photograph on a web page (accessible only by you) for your approval. You will be emailed a link to this page and an access password,
Authenticity
I recognise that it would be possible to make dishonest claims by creating a distressed copy of a good image and passing the original off as a restoration. All examples of image remediation shown on this website are genuine and the "before" images are as scanned from distressed originals, either prints, negatives or colour slides. All images used are my property and all photographs of living people are included with their consent.
Return of original materials
Your original prints, negatives, slides, CDs etc. will be returned by post as soon as they have been processed.
